I have the honour to forward a letter from Mr. J. F. Boulton regarding his position in the Department.
2. I find that Mr. Boulton was employed on the Praya Reclamation Works from the 15th April, 1889, but under no agreement, for 6 years.
3. On reference to O.G.O. 450, it will be seen that in that year it was considered desirable to draw up a formal agreement with Mr. Boulton for a three year's engagement, which engagement expired on the 15th March of this year and has not been renewed.
4. The wording of that agreement, by which Mr. Boulton was appointed by His Excellency Sir W. Robinson an Executive Engineer, from his then existing position as an Assistant Engineer on the Praya Reclamation, together with Mr. Cooper's minute of 15th March, 1895 and the amendments in
